Starting

Two heads are better than one, they say. So why do we forget? The days, weeks, months and years start to blur. Events, meals eaten, walks taken, gardens created are enjoyed and then filed in the dim recesses of the brain.
For ease of access, this is to be an aide mémoire. A quickly-opened filing cabinet of our little daily victories. I wonder if it will last longer than the first week.

The Old Year's Night was long, warm and full of cheer. This morning's heads were not quite so fresh. A walk was needed. It is a long slog up the muddy hill past the Mynydd Clogau wind farm, but we were rewarded by discovery of the elusive Llyn y Tarw, one of three lakes at the top of the moor that we have never been able to find.
A perfect spot for a picnic!

6 miles walked, 555 feet of elevation and 450 calories burned. I think we earned this evening's roast chicken and all the trimmings.
